How long have you been in the resin manufacturing business?
Vikram Resins and Polymers was established in 1988 by Mr. Prakash Rupani. From humble beginnings, we have established ourselves as a reputable supplier of Unsaturated Polyester Resins and Gelcoats in Southern India. We are known for working closely with customers to establish bespoke grades and providing consistent quality.

Where is your manufacturing facility located?
Our manufacturing plant is located in Bangalore, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. We also have a branch office in Indore, in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. We also have dealers in Kerala and Western Karnataka.

What is your capacity?
We have the capacity to manufacture 300 tons per month.

Where are your products available for sale?
We have a wide range of products ranging from general-purpose PET Resin to sophisticated polymers like Polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD), all of which can be explored here. As far as we know, we are the only Indian manufacturer of PDCPD, a high-performance thermosetting polymer resin known for its exceptional mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and durability.
Order & Payment

What are your packaging formats?
We offer IBCs (1,050 kgs), Drums (225 kgs), and Cans (25, 35, and 50 kgs).

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
We pride ourselves on serving the needs of all our customers, be it large multinationals or small independent fabricators. Minimum order quantities are 210 kgs for standard grades, 50 kgs for Gelcoats, and 300 kgs for specialized grades (Fire Retardant grades, mainly).

What is the shelf life of your products?
PET & Orthophthalic grades have a shelf life of 3 months from the date of manufacture. Isophthalic grades have a shelf life of 6 months. Products should be stored in sealed containers at room temperature (25 to 30°C) in the absence of sunlight.

What are your payment terms and conditions?
Until we establish a working relationship, payment must be made in full to confirm an order. We usually have ready stock available. If not, our lead time to dispatch orders is 4 business days from the date of acceptance.

What are accepted payment methods?
We accept Bank Transfers.

Do you offer credit terms?
Following 6 months of purchases on cash and carry terms, we are open to exploring establishing credit limits. To be considered, you will need to supply us with the requisite documents, including audited financial statements.

How competitive are you on pricing?
We are not the cheapest in the market. We are committed, however, to offering competitive pricing while maintaining the consistently high quality of our products and services.

What are the prices of your products?
Given the fluctuation of raw material prices, we evaluate the prices of our Finished Goods on a monthly cycle. Kindly contact us to learn more about prices for grades you may be interested in.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale discounts or promotions?
We may offer incentives from time to time. These will be communicated to you by email once you begin to trade with us actively.

Can we return your packaging to you for reuse?
Reverse logistics is only possible for customers located in Bangalore or Indore. Barrels in good condition can be returned to us for reuse. We are open to offering a nominal compensation for the same. IBCs and Cans cannot be returned and reused due to the risk of contamination.
Delivery & Shipping

What cities or regions do you deliver to?
We deliver across India. Customers can nominate their preferred transporter, and we will arrange delivery accordingly within Bangalore city limits. Thereon, responsibility for goods passes to the customer.

Do you have dealers or distributors outside of Bangalore?
We have a branch office in Indore, in the central state of Madhya Pradesh. We also have dealers in Kerala and Western Karnataka. Please contact us if you would like an introduction.

Do your prices cover freight?
Our pricing is Ex-Bangalore. For local customers, we cover freight for orders over 1,050 kgs.

What is the typical delivery timeline?
If the stock is available on hand, orders within India can be dispatched the day after order confirmation. For international orders, lead times may vary depending on the shipping arrangements and customs procedures. Our production lead time is 4 business days.

Do you provide international shipping?
Yes, we can arrange international shipping. Incoterms are EXW or FOB, and pricing will be quoted accordingly.
Quality Assurance

What quality control measures do you have in place?
We pride ourselves on our consistent quality. This is achieved through strict quality control measures across the value chain. Our hardware is bespoke and undergoes preventative maintenance multiple times per year. Raw materials are sourced only from reputable suppliers and undergo thorough inspection upon receipt. During production, every step of the process is measured and managed rigorously, ensuring uniformity and adherence to quality standards at every stage. Finally, each batch of resin undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it meets the specified parameters before being approved for dispatch.

Do you offer free samples of your resins before purchase?
We do not offer free samples. However, we are happy to invoice for samples (5 kgs or more). Courier charges will be borne by the customer.

How do you handle complaints or defective products?
If you encounter issues with a product, please contact us immediately with details, including the batch number and nature of the issue. Our quality assurance team will investigate promptly. If a defect is verified, we will work with you to resolve the matter, which may include product replacement or credit adjustments.

What is your return/exchange policy?
Returns or exchanges are only accepted in the case of verified product defects. To initiate a return or exchange, please contact our support team within 7 days of receiving the product, providing the batch number, invoice details, and a clear description of the issue. Our quality assurance team will assess the claim and guide you through the next steps.
Custom Solutions & Vendor Inquiries

Can you collaborate on custom resin formulations?
Yes, we specialize in collaborating with customers to develop bespoke resin formulations tailored to specific applications. For instance, our PDCPD grade was established in response to domestic automotive manufacturers who were importing their raw material from international suppliers such as Metton (America) and Telene (France). We have simplified their supply chains by providing them with high quality and consistent domestic supply thus reducing their lead times and working capital requirements, and shielding them from exchange rate fluctuations. Once a grade is established, we ensure consistent quality for ongoing production under long-term contracts.
